Levers
To replace the lever, first remove the end cap on the drill then remove the two screws holding the transmission to the motor on the side of the transmission, where all of the housing screws are facing upwards, securing the cover to the housing. Next, remove the screws securing the cover to the housing and pull the cover off. Pull the trigger switch up enough to remove the forward/reverse lever out. Install the new lever and make sure the tab on the switch aligns with the post on the switch. Make sure all wires are in their proper channels so they do not get caught when reassembling the cover back on the housing. Finally, put the end cap back on.

Remove the switch from the drill and install the new switch into the housing.
Connect the wires in the slots, inside the housing, and wire them to the correct brushes. Insert the brushes back into the drill housing. Reinstall the motor and transmission assembly back into the drill housing. Reinstall the hold-down bracket and secure them with screws. Reinstall the two screws securing the transmission to the drill case and then the second brush holder into the drill. Put the case back on the housing, followed by the other two screws, securing the transmission to the motor.
