2:Placed the old string on the new spool.
3:Put the new spool on the trimmer.
The old reel had worn a hole in the bottom and stopped feeding line.

2: I measured our about six feet of new line and easily applied it to the new reel.
3: Luckily I retained the old spring because the new reel didn’t come with one, but I installed the old spring into the center of the new reel and fit it to the reel housing making sure that the line ends were placed through the holes in the housing and that the two tabs snapped into place.
4: I manually tested the bump reel before starting the trimmer to make sure everything was working properly. I then started the trimmer and everything worked great.
The reel was worn through and no good.
