No Spring but Worked Perfectly
The reel arrived on time and was the perfect fit for my Tanaka TBC-240PF weed wacker. The price was much more affordable than anywhere else I looked. The only issue I had was that I didn’t notice that it didn’t come with the spring, but luckily I still had the old one.

1: I removed the old reel by depressing the two tabs and the reel drops out.
2: I measured our about six feet of new line and easily applied it to the new reel.
3: Luckily I retained the old spring because the new reel didn’t come with one, but I installed the old spring into the center of the new reel and fit it to the reel housing making sure that the line ends were placed through the holes in the housing and that the two tabs snapped into place.
4: I manually tested the bump reel before starting the trimmer to make sure everything was working properly. I then started the trimmer and everything worked great.
