Cut a new piece of axle rod.
Machined in 2 snap ring grooves woodruff key groove and spring hole.
Made a sleeve to slide over the pieces of axle complete with 6 set screws and divots into the shaft pieces.
Reassembled- works great.
Didn’t have to remove transmission.
Drive train needed to be rebuilt after 15 years
