This item provides an identical replacement for a damaged or a missing part that was installed on a new unit. The deck is equipped with a washout port on its surface as part of its deck wash system. It should be utilized after each use. This coupling quick content allows a user to attach a garden hose to the washout port on the deck. One durable plastic coupling is included. Note, the metal washout port is sold separately. Replacing it is a simple task that does not require any special tools.

hit a rock and damaged the mandrel assembly.

2. Removed the mandrel assembly on both sides.
3. Pressure washed the entire deck.
4. After letting it dry repainted the under side of the deck. (let dry, reason for the length of time to complete ( about 1.5 hrs to dry)
5 Installed the new mandrel assemblies.. and new blades.
6. Remounted the deck on tractor. set the belt.
When i engaged the belt for the deck I could not believe how quiet it was, it was a new lawn tractor...

The washout Port had been damaged so I just had to install the new one. No problem.

You get out your socket set, find the correct size and screw the new washout port into the hole on the deck.
Then you screw the coupling Quick Connect thing onto the garden hose and click the hose into the Washout Port. Fire up the mower, put the brake on and turn on water hose, then get back on the mower and engage the blades and let it wash out the junk from under the deck. Set brake, turn off blade and disconnect garden hose and turn the blades back on and let them run to dry things off under there. Lots of instructions but a very simple thing to do. BTW, I am going on 83 years old~
