Product Information

Description:

This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement primer bulb, not an aftermarket equivalent. It is commonly utilized on Kawasaki engines installed on Toro lawn mowers. This purpose of the purge bulb is to force the fuel from the tank into the carburetor. Once the carburetor is full of fuel, the excess fuel will be purged back into the tank in the fuel return line. This item consists of black plastic base and the flexible clear plastic bulb. Over time it may deteriorate and crack requiring replacement.

Primer bulb was cracked.

Very simple repair as the primer pump is one assembly. Remove primer hose from barb on rear, remove retaining nut and remove primer bulb assembly. Reverse steps to install. Save the nut and washer! Replacement pump does not come with hardware!

Hole in primer pump

Old primer bulb had a hole in it. Unplugged spark plug. Unscrewed nut from behind with open ended wrench. Disconnected gas tube. Replaced primer bulb, started her right up.

Priming Pump was torn.

Took the parts necessary off the motor and replaced the priming pump. Replaced the parts and it started right up.

Starter rope pulled through recoil top and had difficulty in rewinding. Primer bulb cracked, leading fuel.

Removed the four bolts holding the recoil top and cut the Rope at the handle after tying a knot in the Rope. Installed a new recall top using the four bolts.
Remove the two bolts on the carburetor assembly. Removed the not holding the primer bulb. Inserted the new primer bulb and tightened down with nut. Reinstalled the carburetor assembly and tightened up with two bolts

Priming pump broke

Two blots from the carb, out and took the nut off of the priming pump . Put the new priming pump on put the two bolts back on the carb, and reconnect the hoses. and your good to go.
