Disassembled the lantern to include valve assembly and the safety check valve. Cleaned the valve stem with a brass bristle wire brush. Installed the valve stem packing verifying fit and ease of operation of the valve. Installed new check valve and air stem and installed new pump plunger. Once the new parts were installed, pressure checked the system and tightened the valve stem assembly in small increments until the valve stem no longer leaked. Reassembled the lantern and tested the operation. Lantern is operating like new and will have many years of use again.

Just old & due for some maintenance...
I got my Coleman 413G Two Burner camp stove, as a gift, in about 1976. It has worked flawlessly, with only a couple of pump kits, for all these years. I'm talking 1 match, to light it!
With another trip coming up; I decided to replace both burners, and another pump kit.
Easily done!
The burners get slightly rusted, over the years, and the auxiliary burner is affected the most.
Now, we will have two full burners.

Coleman model 413E gas camp cook stove was acting up with high yellow flames instead of small blue flames
Pulled clip from fuel tank at the plunger and installed new parts with some oil on the new leather cup. Unscrewed valve and Generator assy. and applied sealer to threads on new assembly, and tightened then screwed on the new cap. Pumped it up and it works like it did new in 1956.

  • Great experience for old lantern
I found my dad's old 1974 Coleman lantern and it needed a couple parts. I ordered them easily and they were delivered as promised. I installed them and the old lantern fired right up! I was so happy since my dad has been gone for some time, I was grateful I could get this working because its such a great childhood memory for me. Thank you.

Worked as Expected - Video Very Helpful
I purchased the pump for a Model 425 (I think) stove and it fits perfectly. I called tech support before I purchased and the representative was very helpful. I described the stove with measurements of the old parts and he believed this pump would fit. There is a very informative video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3JpSkWHuWY) that shows how to use the "newer" style pump on the older stoves / lanterns. The part is in a package labeled Coleman so it appears to be a genuine part. Highly recommended.
