Pressure washer pressure pulsing very fast with high pressure
1. Purchased all most likely parts likely to cause problem: valves, seals & springs.
2. Disassembled pump. No oil in wobble plate housing - only some water. (Probably piston seal?)
3. Cleaned housings, reused parts with carb cleaner. Added 15-40w oil. Reassembled & installed.
4. Works better than when I bought it, (was rebuilt unit.)
5. I found seals a little tricky to install as they are flared out & you'll probably try to use a screwdriver to install - careful, easy to damage seal.
6.Also, check the spill valve before you remove pump - it can cause erratic (as well as low) pressure.

Question: Drain Plug

I need to change the valves (part 4.580-330.0) on my Karcher G2400HB. I would also like to inspect the other 3 valves under the brass plate, however am unable to remove the "drain plugs". Any ideas on how to remove? At $9 apiece I sure don't want to damage one.
I just did that. I put my largest flat screwdriver in one of the indentations and turned the drain plug around a few times to loosen it. Then with the indentations running parallel to the channel that they are installed in I used the blade of the same driver as a lever. With the top of the channel being the fulcrum put the blade in the far side indentation from the fulcrum and pry up. You will be able to get it most of the way out then use needle nose pliers.
Hello, This is great repair info for anyone working one one of these heavy duty pumps.
If you are replacing the valves, take apart the pump and pry up the caps from the inside with an L-shaped pick.
Question: How Many

how many do i need order
Hello royrumsey,

The best thing for you to do is look at your model number of your pressure washer and pull up the parts diagram on it. Generally on these pumps there are 6 4.580-330.0 valves. And you do not want to just replace one. Replace all the valves in the pump.
