This is the pump assembly, also referred to as a drain pump, designed for various dishwasher models. Its primary function is to remove water from the dishwasher after the wash cycle. This OEM pump assembly is sold individually and does not include any additional parts or accessories. A malfunctioning drain pump may result in improper water drainage, water leakage, unusual noises during the washing cycle, and potential odors. To replace this pump assembly, start by disconnecting the water and power supply as well as the drain connection. Lay the dishwasher on its side, remove all screws and wire harnesses securing the pump assembly, and if necessary, the drive motor. Gently maneuver the old pump assembly out of its position and remove it. Install the new pump assembly, securing it with screws and reconnecting wire harnesses. If the drive motor was removed, reinstall it. Reconnect the water and drain lines, plug the dishwasher into the wall outlet, and test the new pump with a small load of dishes.
