Genuine Hitachi replacement part used on specific Air Compressor, this item is sold individually. This compressor Regulator is used to regulate the air pressure in the compressor tank. It is also used to regulate the air pressure of the air exiting the tank. In some instances you will need to lower or higher the air pressure of the tank and the air coming from the tank.

    Un plug unit from the electrical outlet. Empty all air pressure in the unit by releasing the air out through the pressure relief valve. Unscrew old Pressure regulator . Re coat the threads on the existing pipe where the new pressure regulator will reattached. After all has been reinstalled. Plug in compressor and turn on. Check for air leaks. All is done. Ready to for use

    4.installed new reducer
    5.hooked up air lines
    6.installed front plate

    broken pressure regulator

    Screwdriver, Wrench Set

    Remove set screws on the front cover. Spin off the quick connect valves. remove the pressure control wing nut. Remove the cover and main front plate. Disconnect the lines to the valves, remove the control valve, port, and related connections as a unit. Spin off the control valve from connected parts. Re-install new valve reversing the above order. Use teflon or equivalent for thread connections.Good as new.It looks a little difficult when you look inside but its really quite simple!

    pressure reducer went bad, broke in serval pieces

    Pliers, Adjustable Wrench, allan head wrench

    Removed the plastic cover, removed the female air fittings, remover the trunk going to air fittings and with pipe wrench and crescent wrench removed the reducer. Applied pipe dope and reassembled to test. Had to tighten the allan head screws, but then assembly was completer without any leaks. Pressured up and ready to go.

    Took the old one off and removed the adapter and replaced them on the new reducer and installed it It was fairly simple used Teflon tape on all the adapters to insure that it wouldn’t leak

    the part had to be dismantled to remove /install, i had to separate the regulator handle from the base, and do the same when i re-installed the new one

    Removed pressure reducer and gauge do to normal wear. As a Carpenter the compressor is used daily

    Wrench Set, Adjustable Wrench, Plumbers tape for gauge and air fitting

    Removed air fitting
    Removed pressure reducer gauge
    Removed pressure reducer by turning pressure reducer slightly clockwise as not to interfere with tank then removed reducer
    Apply plumbers tape to all threaded fittings
    Install new pressure reducer then turn reducer back slightly counterclockwise to it’s original position
    Install new pressure gauge to pressure reducer
    Re install air fitting
    Start compressor and set desired pressure
