These are original manufacturer approved replacement pedal straps used on exercise bikes. This item includes (2) pedal straps that are made out of plastic. The main reason for using pedal straps is to allow you to transfer power from your legs to the pedals while both pushing down and pulling up. If your pedals do not have straps you can only transfer power to the pedals when pushing down on them.

Tough to Install
The pedal straps arrived very quickly, but I found I could not attach them. I googled and some had made a perfect suggestion: soak them in very hot water first (I did so for 20 minutes). That softened the rubber just enough for me to be able to attach the pedal straps (and I'm 80). I'd gotten the bike seat replacement from eReplacement a couple of years back, and they're just great to deal with.

Easy repair that only requires some hand strength to remove the old straps and replace them with the new ones. Always check each strap for "right-R" or "left-L" before installing or you will have to do it all over again.
