Product Description ?

This recoil starter assembly is a genuine replacement part sourced from the original equipment manufacturer. It is compatible with several models of trimmers and lawn mowers. This recoil starter is made of plastic, and it should be replaced if it is cracked or damaged. To replace this part, first remove top protective plastic cover. Next, remove the coil starter. Thread the replacement recoil starter rope through top cover. Reattach the pull handle and tighten it down. Secure the cover. A socket set is needed to complete this replacement.

    Removed the old recoil assembly with socket set, replaced with the new one from ereplacement. I did talk with an associate from ereplacement to make sure that their part would cross reference to my tiller. Which it did and my tiller is up and running.

    Remove top protective plastic cover, with 7 mm socket Remove The coil starter with 10 mm socket , Thread replacement recoil starter rope through top cover , and reattach pull handle. Tighten down with 10 mm socket and cover with 7 mm socket ( done)

    Starter rope assembly would not retract, could not start engine

    Removed damaged starter assembly by removing (3) 10 mm nuts, replacement part fit perfectly. Was able to start machine with no problem
