This is a genuine part which is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer and is used with Craftsman hedge trimmers. The cap holds in the spool and bumper to the spool housing. This part is made of durable plastic and is sold individually. There are no tools required for installation, simply push the two tabs on the side of the cap and snap it into the housing. It is the same process to remove the old one.
