1. Removed the three screws that secure the base plate
2. Removed the broken base plate
3. Installed the new base plate
4. Re-installed the three screws that secure the base plate

ThereÆs really nothing to it.
I matched the model number, ordered the parts that needed replacing, and removed all the smaller parts ( screws, micro adjustment knob, handles, etc) to place them on the new base and plate.
