This is an authentic Murray replacement part, sourced from the original manufacturer for use with walk-behind lawnmowers. The special cable is used to engage the carburetor's throttle valve. Cables can wear out over time, the ends can snap and replacing a broken or damaged cable is a relatively simple repair. This engine stop cable is available as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.
