Just remove the screws attaching the muffler protector, and remove it. Then screw in the new one.

Muffler heat shield broke

1. Removed three studs from engine block using socket set and removed old small pieces of old muffler heat shield from under the studs.
2. Install new muffler heat shield using nut driver and placing three studs into holes in engine block.
