This Ball Bearing is shielded on both sides. It is a genuine Makita replacement part and is sold individually. • Ball bearings are used to reduce friction between rotating parts. The balls or rollers take the load and spin, distributing the weight evenly while the minimal contact area of the ball reduces friction. This reduces wear on the tool and allows it to run smoothly. • Bearings experience constant wear when the tool is in operation from pressure, heat, vibration and friction. Because of this, many Bearings need periodic maintenance or replacement.

1. Remove grinder head. 2-piece head completely disassembled.
2. Remove lock bolt for drive gear. remove drive gear.
3. Remove arbor wedged bearing.
4. Remove arbor o-ring and slide out arbor gear.
5. Replace in reverse order.

1- Removed old worn out wheel tires
2- Slipped the new tires on
3- Removed the guide rollers with phillips head screwdriver
4- Replaced the bearing rollers
5- Reattach the holder assembly to the housing

1. removed angle drive cap (4 phillips #2)
2. removed drive gear (pliers and 10 mm)
3. removed snap ring
4.removed bearing
5. clean away old grease with metal grindings.
6. new grease and reassemble.

Removed the screws, then the bearing, next the snap ring then the removal of the gears and all grease. After all parts and grease removed, then just reversed the process.
