In conjunction with an armature it drives the main shaft, a field is usually damaged by overloading the power tool, or because of a bad armature. It is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing a field. This high-quality item is sold individually. Perfect replacement

My old corded 3/8 Milwaukee hole-shooter was not working well, I thought that I had thrown a wire from the armature. Turns out that the years of abuse, I threw a chunk of epoxy off of the 120V field and it was getting stuck in the armature (Determined after a tear-down). Parts took a while to receive (over 4 weeks) - but once they were here and installed, this thing ran like new. I think that this came from the manufacturer’s factory, or the supplier thereof, but I cannot tell from the markings on the part, and will just keep running my (now like new) tool until it breaks again.
