Impact main spring had broken.

Put grease down in hammer to hold the smaller ball bearings into place while I inserted the flat washer on top of the bearings. Then I inserted the
Compression spring on top of the flat washer ,Then I proceeded to put main shaft with the cup washer on it through the compression spring.I used the three jar puller to compress the sp ring in the assembly so shaft would push out through the hammer allowing me to put the two larger ball bearings in the two groves in the shaft. Once they were in place I released the pressure on the hammer spring and the assembly was now ready to it back in drill, be sure to apply a small amount of grease on the assembly before putting it back in the drill. Put the assembly back on the drill ,put the four screws back in tighten them down and you\'re done. I was very pleased with all the parts I received .Note : I downloaded the parts assembly of the hammer drill to make sure of the order which the parts went back in.

Put the ball bearings in place then put the sleeve and spring on and put the flat washer in place, you will need a very small screwdriver to snap the ring spring into place while compressing the flat washer down with a thumb or finger.

Old socket extension stuck in impact driver..

I used replacement parts on you tube to see how it was done to basically change out the anvil.
I then went to e-replacement parts.com to find the parts I would need.
Parts came in a good timely manner.. I hack sawed the socket off, unscrewed the impact driver casings, replaced parts, and put it back together. I did use the e -replacement diagrams while doing this ,just to make sure I had it right..
I would use and recommend e-replacement parts to everyone in a heart beat, after all replacing something is much cheaper than buying a new one..
Thank you...

Tools:

1. I reviewed the parts detail that your site provided.
2. I took the front part of the driver apart and identified the parts I would need for the repair.
3. I ordered the parts. They arrived within 3 days.
4. I installed the parts following the parts detail provided by the website.
5. The sleeve only goes on one way to allow the flat washer to seat below the ring spring. If you are not careful the ring spring can fly off under tension as you take it off and put it back on.
6. The rest was easy. Works great and for $15 including shipping I saved a $100 replacement cost or repair bill.
