Replacing Air hose and air nozzle (for inflating tires)

Repair was simple in that all you had to do was take the old hose off the compressor nipple and put the new one on. Problem is that the new hose assembly did not come with any clamps. Accordingly, it took me 10 minutes to squeeze the old clamp to a point where i could remove it from the old hose. I then slipped the clamp over the new h ose and attached the hose to the nipple and then, in makeshift manner, squeezed the clamp to where it was tight enough for me to use the compressor to inflate auto tires and the hose not come off the nipple on the compressor. It would have been nice to include a clamp when shipping this hose assembly.

I had to use a utility knife to cut-off the old hose and then purchase a separate clamp to attach the replacement hose. The new hose is significantly shorter than the original hose that was part of the original purchase of the air station. But at least it is still available.

The end piece of my compressor hose that clamps down on the tire stem was broke and needed to be replaced.

The part was an exact fix for my old Black and Decker Bike pump - I just used a thin long screwdriver to release the existing compression fitting on the end of the nipple coming out of the pump, and slipped it off of the old hose. I then put the old fitting on the end of the new hose and pressed it onto the nipple sticking out of the ma chine. Luckily the new hose was an exact match diameter wise and actually did require a little to effort to get it fully onto the nipple. That was by itself probably tight enough to work, but then with a little crimping of the old compression fitting onto the nipple it was on tight for sure. The new hose and its end fitting to the tire stem now works like brand new.

If you can\'t seem to get the old compression fitting off, just cut the hose after it, carefully work the old fitting off, and use a new very small c=clamp to add pressure to the tightness of the hose attachment to the nipple - but like I said, it fit so tightly, you almost don\'t need the end clamp.

I used pliers and a screwdriver to remove factory clamp that holds hose to compressor. I replaced the hose and used the same clamp that removed to tighten the hose to the compressor. Worked perfectly. This was my first order from Replacementparts.com and they were excellent with fast service. I highly recommend them for parts.

Keep in mind the hose is much shorter than the original so you will not be able to reach things without moving the compressor to the item to be filled.
