This is a Genuine OEM replacement Protector Grommet which is used on Milwaukee Power Tools. This part is made out of Rubber and is Sold Individually. It is important to have a cord protector on your tool to improve friction, seal cable and protect it from a potential damage. Replacing this item would differ based on your tool. • First you would need to gain access to internal connections of Power Cord by removing housing of your tool • Once you have disconnected Power Cord you would need to loop it through the Protector • Re-Connect Power Cord to your tool • Secure Cord Protector in the Housing opening and assemble your tool

1. Opened cover
2. Used manufacturers wiring diagram to determine proper wiring (New switch contacts not exactly like old switch, may need to check continuity with a meter)
3. Connected wires
4. Closed cover.
5. Tested.

1970\'s vintage Milwaukee circular saw power cord frayed and insulation jacket breaking apart from age.

1. Remove saw handle and expose old cord/connections.
2. Remove old cord from ground screw and switch.
3. Measure cord end to match old one.
4. Cut cord to length and strip wire.
5. Remove wires and copper bus bars from switch.
6. Solder new cord /wires to switch bus bars and apply heat shrink tubing.
7 . Attach cord protector and use heat shrink tubing to reinforce cord protector.
8. Tuck all wires in saw handle and attach ground wire.
9. Re-attach handle, plug saw in and test run.
10. Success!!
11. The cord which was ordered (I used saw model #) did not have the copper bus bars which attach to the switch so this is why/where I had to save them and solder them to the new wire. Also had to attach a ring terminal to the ground wire.

Unscrewed the housing screws, separated the case and disconnected the wires. Installation was the reverse of this previous process.

Remove the switch handle cover
Remove the cord wires from the switch and the ground wire
Slide the new cord protector on to the new cord
Connect the new cord wires to the switch, and connect the ground wire
Screw on the switch handle cover

Removed side of saw handle, installation was easier than I thought, installed new cord protector on a new cord that I had and attached screw rings on cord wire and attached to new switch and reinstalled back into saw handle

Remove side of handle. Disconnect the cord wires from the switch, and ground wire. Slide the old protector off of the cord and slide the new one on. Then attach the wires to the switch and ground wire. Replace the side of the handle.
