I open the handle assembly, then removed the cord wires from the switch. I then connected the new cord wires to the switch and put the handles back together.
Removed 1 handle half of saw. Took an awl and pressed it in the switch where the cord wires are connected and pulled them out. Removed old cord, cut cord leads to correct length to connect to switch. Stripped the cord wires about 3/4 inch, twisted them. Then I put some solder on them to stiffen them up, then pressed them into the switch.

Remove the screws that hold the two halves of the circular saw housing together. Then cut the bad cord as close as possible to the cord protective shielding to retain as much length of the original cord as possible. Then cut the replacement cord to have plenty excess length to route inside the circular saw housing so that the splicing end

Read mores (and 1/8\" diameter heat shrink tubbing to cover the splice) will fit inside the housing void spaces without pinching any of the cord wires when the housing is screwed together. -- (Note: dry fit circular saw housing together without actually replacing the screws and adjusting the length of the wires if necessary.) Then cut a length of shrink tubing and slip it over the cut end of either the original, or replacement cord, making sure to allow about 1/4\" exact on both ends of the shrink tubing to make sure it will completely cover the spice. Then use a wire stripper to strip about 3/4\" of the coating from the ends of both cords, twist the stripped ends together, slide the shrink tubing in-place over the spice, and use a heat gun to shrink the tubing around the spice. Route the excess wires into the void spaces and carefully fasten the two halves of the circular saw housing together, making sure no wires get pinched and that the finger trigger for operating the saw moves freely.
1. Removed screws from handle
2. Used awl on switch to release old wires from switch
3. Used wire strippers to trim to correct length
4. Soldered the ends of the wires to firm up wires to place in switch
5. Replace screws back in handle
Simply removed covers to expose wiring connection. Followed wiring color-code. Cut to fit. Attached connections. Replaced coverings. Checked function. Worked perfectly...and had two extra feet with new electrical cord replacement. Good, strong quality! Thanks. By the way, I\'ve run the electrical hand saw now for 28-years...and counting..
