This is an authentic OEM component from Abu Garcia. The brake shoe spring is found in many fishing reels, and is sold individually. The metal spring is fitted onto the brake shoe holder. You will need a screwdriver and pliers for the repair. This item is also included with the spool assembly (1185889).
