Product Description

?

Original OEM replacement Armature Assembly used on some Makita Angle Grinders. This item includes an Armature, Fan, Commutator End Bearing. Remember to be especially careful of the armature fan when you remove it, because if you break it, you will have to replace the entire armature. Due to constant contact with Carbon Brushes armature will eventually wear out and would need to be replaced. It is highly recommended to replace both Carbon Brushes when replacing an armature.

Angle grinder got bound up on something and was stopped and starting to smoke, at 10 seconds was able to unplug. Used again and faded down to nothing, burning smell. Will new brushes fix this grinder again, or armature?
Ronnie For model number 9557NB - December 1, 2022

Hello Ronnie, Thank you for the question. If the brushes are damaged or worn down, they will need to be replaced. We suggest removing them and checking before replacing the Armature. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!
