The replacement pad was an exact fit. Just loosened 4 allen head screws, removed the old pad and installed the new one. Job completed.

Hardest part was getting the shield behind the pad installed - had to unscrew the sander in half and slide the shield into the grooves.

Repair could not have been easier. Simply removed 4 screws holding original pad, swapped for new pad and reinstalled 4 screws. Only took a couple of minutes.
