Description:
This is a Genuine Manufacturer Sourced replacement part used on a Broan Heater. This part is made out of Metal and it is Sold Individually.

The purpose of it is, if the unit overheats, the Thermoprotector trips to cut off voltage to the the Heater. To determine if the thermoprotector is at fault, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the Thermoprotector does not have continuity, and it cannot be reset, replace it. The heater quit running. The safety thermostat would let the heater restart after cooling.
Took the heater down from the ceiling. Dismantled and removed the old part. The new part was a perfect fit. Put the heater back together and mounted back on the ceiling. It is working good.

The overheat protector burned out
Per the Broan tech support I tested the thermostat which was ok. I then put a jumper from one side of the overheat protector to the other and tried the heater bypassing the protector. The heater worked indicating the protector was burned out. Pretty simple job to remove the old one and put in a new one. Disconnect the heater from the ceiling. Take the back plate off by removing 3 screws. This allows access to the overheat protector. Remove the wires. Remove the old overheat protector. Put it back together

Replace over heat protector
Remove and replace burned out overheat protector. Much cheaper than replacing the entire heater.
