Product Description ?

This is a Genuine Manufacturer Sourced replacement part used on a Broan Heater. This part is made out of Metal and it is Sold Individually.

The purpose of it is, if the unit overheats, the Thermoprotector trips to cut off voltage to the the Heater. To determine if the thermoprotector is at fault, use a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the Thermoprotector does not have continuity, and it cannot be reset, replace it. Took heater off ceiling after taking cage off. 1 screw for cage 2 screws for unit. Took unit to kitchen bar, removed middle plate with the heating coil.( I had my wife take pictures with my iPhone of how all wires and how it was set up. The new switch went to each end of heating coil. Put all wiring and nuts and wires with the help of the pictures we had taken. Took it back connected the two wires out of the ceiling junction box to the two wires on the underside of the heater screwed back to the junction box in the ceiling and then put the protective screen on with the last remaining screw. Turned it on, worked like a charm, have used it every morning during this snowstorm. Thanks, Mike
