Product Description ?

O-rings are designed to contain thousands of pounds of pressure by creating a seal between two or more parts. O-ring measurements are defined by the inside diameter and the thickness.

rnrnThere are many causes for O-Ring failure, such as pressure, friction, temperature or chemicals. The most common are:

Extrusion and Nibbling – O-ring has ragged, tattered edges. These are commonly caused by pressure spikes which shear off tiny “bites” from the o-ring, or caused by clearance gaps.

Abrasion – One or both sides of the o-ring appear rough and slightly flattened. Commonly caused by a contact surface that is too rough, contains grit or is too smooth to allow lubrication.

Over Compression – O-ring is flattened on both sides and may have a “ring” split along its length. Commonly caused by excessive pressure or heat.

Heat Hardening – O-ring has a pitted or cracked surface, and often is flattened on both sides. Caused by temperature exceeding o-ring capacity.
Weather/Ozone Cracking – O-ring is covered in small surface cracks. Caused by exposure to ozone, UV rays and air pollution. Excessive seal stretching causes similar cracking.

Air leaking from top of gun it's a framing Gun.
Michael for model number FR350A asked on 2022-03-31
Hello Michael, thank you for writing. Deteriorated O-rings that cause air leaks, a trigger valve part A08368 that won't fire, or a leaking cylinder seal 910768 or a worn driver bumper 910771, which prevents the gun from making a complete stroke. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.

Everyone said top bumper causes the problem. The bumper was shot so I replaced it. Still did the same thing. Messing with it I found that if I pulled on the trigger pin just a little bit it would let go and retract the driver. I pulled the trigger assembly out and started messing around with it. No luck. However I now noticed a slight air leak at the trigger. I purchased all new O rings and trigger pin and spring. Installed and WahLah. it works. Thanks for your help with parts. Have referred U to friends.

    Medium

    Time

    15-30 minutes

    Tools Used

Wrench Set, Small hammer, Roll pin punch, Small dental pick

Drive out roll pin on trigger
(Wrench) Unscrew air valve assembly, Please note how the assembly goes together.
Replace all O-Rings. Most of the O-Rings are easy to find in a assortment set the two small ones on the spool and there is a larger one with a about 1/16" cross section that are easily available, those I had to order.
Use the dental pick to remove the O-Rings and re-install the new ones, take care not to over stretch the new ones.
Lube everything with a little o-ring lube or airline oil.
Re-assemble air valve, and screw into gun.
Put trigger switch back in and drive roll pin into place.
