drop deck, ordered parts, wait for parts, remove spindle pulley w/impact wrench, remove snap ring hammer like heck to get spindle & bearings out of housing. repeat in reverse to assemble

removed shaft replaced with new parts

The bearings had gone bad in two of my blade spindles. I thought it was going to be a simple repair until I tried getting them apart. In order to get them apart I had to cut the shaft and beat it out the other side to the point of no repair. I was able to savage the housing and thanks to ereplacement parts I was able to get the new shafts and bearings that were needed to get my Snapper zero turn back to work. The original bearings, and the bearings I received were sealed bearings, so I removed the seal from the inner side of both bearings and installed a grease fitting in the housing. So now I have access to grease the bearings when needed, so hopefully this will extend the life expectancy of the bearings so I never have to make this repair again.
