While getting my firewood in for the winter, my chain on my chain saw kept getting loose. The only explanation I could think that was causing the problem was the screw and pivot which pulls the blade
After removing the two bolts that hold the plate on the side of the saw, I removed the plate and clip. I removed the small screw which holds the inside plate and distributes oil onto the chain. I removed the old pivot and screw by just lifting it from it's setting. After replacing the new pivot and screw, I work backwards replacing the plates and bolts. By turning the new straining screw, the chain gripped the bar and I was back in business.
