This is the check valve between the needle control diaphragm chamber, and mixture screws cavity. It does not usually need to be replaced, and does not come in the carb kit (I think it should, you really can't fully clean the carb with it in there). I damaged the existing check when cleaning the carburetor, which is why I had to replace it.
Its very shallow, so I used a drill press (to avoid over drilling and destroying the cavity) to enlarge the opening just a tiny bit, . Then I popped the old check valve out with an awl. I gently drove the new one in with a drift punch.
This was on a Poulan 2375, with a Walbro ST324 carburetor. ( I think its in the WA family) The check valve was a 84-613-1.
It runs pretty good without the check working, but at high revs back pressure from the carb throat gets into the diaphragm chamber, which blows off the purge line that goes from the carburetor, to the purge bulb. Replacing the check solved the problem.
