The nailer was mistakenly oil for an extended period and subsequently damaged the piston and driver,: this is an "oil-less" gun
Simply dismantled the head and piston assy., removed the parts, cleaned vey well, greased the parts as required, re-assembled. Works like new. Applied magic marker writing to say "do not oil".

I had lost the contact tip, as frequently happens. Replacement parts are hard to find locally. Every time I look for parts, no matter what the tool, I always check ereplacement parts and they have it.
This is really only takes a small bit of silicon on the contact tip and then slip on the replacement. This helps keep the tip on and not get lost again.
