Locate and remove 2 main switch box mounting screws located on tailstock end of lathe.
Loosen 4 6mm lathe bed mounting socket screws from legs. Remove mounting screws completely on tailstock end only. Lift up lathe bed on tailstock end just enough to allow main switch box to be removed.
Remove 4 screws that hold the two halves of the main switch box together.
Carefully separate the two halves.
Pay attention to the 4 wires that are connected to the main switch. Mark each wire with a color or number so that you can reconnect each wire to the proper terminal on the new switch. Remove all 4 wires from the switch.
Squeeze the mounting clips on the back side of the main switch to remove it from the switch box cover.
Install new main switch into box cover with OFF pointing to bottom. Reconnect all four wires to terminals on new switch. Reassemble main switch box halves.
Reinstall main switch box to underside of the tailstock end of the lathe bed. Re-secure lathe to legs or base.
