Product Description ?

This is a genuine Homelite replacement part designed for use with string trimmers. It is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer. It is the lower shaft that the gearbox is attached to. This item is made out of metal and it is sold individually.

To replace this lower boom assembly you would need a screwdriver.

• Remove the screw that connects upper and lower shafts
• Push in the button located on the attachment shaft and remove the old boom assembly
• Remove the anti-rotation screw from the gearbox and separate it from the shaft
• Secure the new shaft with the gearbox using the same anti-rotation screw
• Secure the boom assembly with the coupler and upper shaft

    The lower boom goes on simply, but for some reason shaft was not fitting in all the way, it took me three times to get it right but then it worked great, Thank You, Ron..........

    The end of the shaft inside that attaches to the trimmer head had snapped off rendering it useless.

    The lower boom assembly is attached with 2 screws using an allen wrench the broken assembly was removed and the new lower boom assembly was attached and screwed in. This was a very simple repair. This trimmer has seen alot of use but still works great.

    Metal shaft came loose on end of curved shaft weed eater

    Took 2 Allen headed screws out of the middle of the shaft where the curved part attached removed old shaft reinserted new curved shaft and replaced bolts and attached cutter head, Was simple and quick. Appreciated the fast service in getting the parts.
