It is screwed into place at the front of the hinge lid. As a result, a screwdriver is needed to install this part. This item is sold individually and does not include screws.

1. Raise grill lid
2. Remove and discard 4 screws
3. Remove and discard the old handle
4. Install replacement handle using screws provided. It helps if you don't tighten the screws until all 4 are in place
5. Note that the insulated washers, which are provided with the replacement handle - these go between the handle and the cover.
6. Tighten screws.

Used the screwdriver to undo the bolts, and removed the broken handle. I used the pliers to hold the nut while tightening down the new handle.
