This is an original Oster Pro part. This Lever is used on multiple models of Oster Pro Clippers. This part is made of a dense plastic. The Lever is used to adjust the hair cutting length. If the blade won’t adjust or if the lever spins freely, then this part needs to be replaced. This part is commonly purchased with the Screw (part number 042647-000-000) and the Spring Washer (042683-000-000). Only a Philips Screwdriver is needed to replace this part.

1. Removed old part with phillips head screwdriver.
2. Saved spring washer and screw.
3. Installed new lever-driver with spring washer and screw from step 2.
4. Aligned blade guard and blade.
5. Tested unit, it worked fine.

Lever driver for fast feed clippers broke from many years of use

The lever driver was easy to replace, just needed a screwdriver. The difficult part of the repair was finding exactly where the carriage spring was supposed to go after it fell out. Did not see it when I took the clippers apart to clean so I did not know where it should be placed. Looked all over the internet, finally found a you tube video that showed the exact location. That took an additional 30 to 40 min to find. Thanks for the quick parts order fill, was needing a trim.
