The choke lever is made out of plastic. This part is sold individually. It is an OEM replacement part for use in snowblowers made by Toro and Lawn Boy. A screwdriver might be required during the replacement of this item. It will need to be replaced if it breaks.

Choke lever handle broken

Took of engine cover, then removed broken lever by removing screw. Installed new lever and tightened screw, reinstalled cover

Choke lever was broken off and bulb-primer was too stiff to work

I simply took the rear covers off to expose the carburetor and primer tube on which the bulb-primer stretches over. I removed the screw holding the choke lever on, and simply screwed the new identical replacement back on. The bulb-primer was a little trickier as it was a little smaller than original and has to use a dull ended hook and some silicone lube to aid in stretching it over the end of the choke tube.
