Description:

This part is an OEM from Kenmore, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Roper, and Estate for use with Dryers. The door switch actuator pushes against and activates the dryer door switch when you close the door. The most common reasons for replacing the door switch actuator is if the dryer is not running, won’t start the door switch is broken or the Dryer won't turn on. This part is sold individually. Here is a list of tools that are needed to replace the door switch actuator are a Phillips screwdriver, ¼ inch nut driver and needle nose pliers.

Original switch broken

1. Opened dryer control panel
2. Removed top deck of dryer
3. Removed old switch and plugin.
4. Placed new components in proper position
5. Reassembled all assemblies and tested.

Easy to repair, works as expected

When I ordered the part the website said it was in stock. I then received an email stating otherwise and that they would have to order one from the manufacturer. I still received the part in a timely fashion and was able to get it put in right away.

A small but important part for the function of out clothes dryer. When the dryer door is closed this allows the dryer to run.

This part was an exact match for the part removed from the dryer. The original part broke which would not allow the switch to be made allowing the dryer to run. Installation time was less than ten (10) minutes and all is well now.
