Product Description ?

This authentic OEM retainer assembly secures the left and right pivot arms of the brush roll assembly on your steam vacuum. The pivot arms allow the brushes to move and adjust to various surfaces for effective cleaning, and the retainer assembly ensures they stay in place during operation. The assembly comes with the necessary hardware for replacement and is typically located on the sides of the front base, beneath the plastic base window. If you notice that the pivot arms are loose or worn out, it is time to replace the assembly. To remove it, refer to your user manual to locate and access it at the base of your vacuum. Unthread the mounting screws and remove the old assembly from its housing, then proceed with installing the new assembly. Please remember that this includes both the left and right pivot arm retainers along with the necessary fasteners for installation.

Brush roller would not spin. Pump belt broken. End caps broken. Just a mess!

    connie - April 29, 2017
Removed all broken or missing parts above and used instructions that came with belts. Easy to follow, no problem. Relined and locked side end caps with side brushes and put together with locking screw. no problem. you guys did not have the front nozzle for the 8920 so I got some automotive glue and screw clamps to hold till glue set up over night. Reinstalled all of the above. all is well. Cost me $33.00 for parts from e-replacement and five dollars for the glue. Only took 3 days from the time of ordering till finish. thanks guys, Neely

Brush bar wouldn't turn, even though belt was ok.

    Tool Type

    Vacuum

    Difficulty

    Medium

    Time

    15-30 minutes

    Tools Used

    Screwdriver, Pliers

With the help of a YouTube video, I removed the guards for the brush bar, the brush bar itself, & unhooked the belt. I removed the broken retainer piece (the larger one), used a pair of pliers to hold the spring loaded foot piece out of the way, slid the new retainer into position & tightened it down. I reinstalled the brush bar assembly, tipped the machine upright, & checked for brush bar rotation. (I didn't get the spindle in the brush bar installed quite right the first time...) All better now :)
