  • Repair broken one
Theres no problem with the part itself- but I think it would be more intuitive to include the lock washer to secure the knob! I have to order one because the original lock washer snapped when I removed it.

Accidentally got the knob for the front.
I will need to check the order I placed, to be sure I didn't make a mistake. I will keep it in case I have to replace a front one. I will place a second order for the rear knob.

    1. Drain fuel and disconnect spark plug
    2. Remove old wheels with socket wrench (1 at a time)
    3. Clean and lubricate wheel spindles and height adjust bracket
    4. Remove small washer holding old height adjust knobs and place new knob and replace washer.
    5. Install new wheel and secure with new lock nut. Repeat for all 4 wheels.
    6. Clean mulch door area and remove nuts holding bracket.
    7. Assemble new rod, spring and mulch door to bracket. I used clamps to hold door in place while securing the spring the correct position.
    8. Replace entire assembly to mower and secure with 2 nuts

Drilled hole into the part of the broken bolt still inside crankshaft, I then heated the bolt that was still inside the crankshaft with a propane soldering torch and used penetrating oil to soak into thread and then used an easy-out to remove the remaining half of the bolt from inside crankshaft.
I then replaced the old parts with the new ones I had purchased from your company

Remove old/broken knobs by removing Push clips with needle-nose pliers. They will break so make sure you have replacement push clips, part number 583343001 . Install new knob and push clip. Some time push clips will bend so make sure it is flat to top of knob.
