This is an authentic OEM part for use with Whirlpool Stand Mixers. The retaining ring helps to secure the agitator shaft to the unit. This part is made out of metal and it is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the retaining ring are Screwdriver and Pliers. Unplug the mixer before installing this part.
This is an original part from Whirlpool for use with stand mixers. The worm bevel gear meshes with the worm gear, causing the rotation of the planetary assembly where the accessories attached. The most common reasons for replacing the worm bevel gear is if the teeth are worn out or damaged, or you hear the motor come on but nothing is moving. This part is sold individually. Here is a list of tools that are needed to replace the bevel gear a flathead screwdriver (large and small), hammer, punch, Phillips screwdriver (large and small), large Phillips driver ratchet, rubber mallet. Optional: towels and a U-shape holder.
This OEM authentic part is to be used in stand mixers made by KitchenAid and Whirlpool. It is an important part of the mechanism that drives the beaters. The gear is made of metal, unfortunately, over time the teeth may wear out. Worn gears may not spin at the proper RPM, if it spins at all, so replacing the gear will help bring the mixer's performance to like-new levels. This part is sold as an individual item. Please refer to the owner's manual and diagrams of your model to ensure the proper installation. Note, when replacing this part, to help reduce friction, planetary grease is required.
This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement front sleeve bearing which is used on Kitchen Aid stand mixers. It is the front worm gear bearing. It is made out of metal and it is sold individually.
To complete this repair you will need a screwdriver.
• First you want to remove the trim piece secures with one (1) screw
• Then remove the cover secured with four (4) screws
• This will allow you to remove the speed switch assembly secured by two (2) screws
• Then remove the gear cover secure by four (4) screws
• This will allow you to access the shaft bearing
• Remove the old bearing and replace it with a new one
• This may be a good time to check the rest of the internal components like gears for any damage or signs of wear and see if some of them may need to be replaced
