This authentic gasket kit is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer for use with Poulan and Weed Eater handheld blowers. Unfortunately, over time parts may wear out and begin to crack eventually requiring replacements. The gasket kit contains a variety of gaskets that can be replaced to rebuild your unit. Refer to the owner's manual and the appropriate diagrams for your model to ensure the correct applications. A screwdriver and a wrench set might be required to perform this repair.

Blower wasn't getting compression

1. Took the assembly apart
2. Tested compression
3. With the poor compression, went to look at piston closer and broke piston ring in the process which must have been weak to begin with.
4. Ordered new piston rings and gasket kit to replace all the gaskets since engine assembly was taken apart.
5. Put together remaining assembly
6. Applied high temperature adhesive and let cure over a few days
7. Tried starting the blower and it ran great!

Unit would start run for a few seconds and shut off

Parts Used
Disassembly of the blower to view fuel lines, fuel tank and carburetor require the removal of all of the bolts which hold the two halves together. The repair required replacement of both fuel lines which is pretty easy once everything is exposed. Also, the 3 bolts holding the intake manifold to the head were loose which damaged the 2 gaskets (inner & outer) used for sealing the part. After replacing the fuel lines all the parts were reassembled using new gaskets. The unit now runs like new.
