This was an easy fix. I looked all over the web and now I don't know why I didn't just go to e -replacement parts.com to start. Thanks.
However, I have just one request. Please change the adhesive on your parts labels. I have tried every label glue remover on the market and I still have sticky residue which catches sawdust and makes my job more difficult. Any suggestions?

The part was as expected thankfully, because the package it arrived in was an oversized crunched cardboard box with no interior bubble wrap or protection from breakage for the plastic part. I was very surprised at the lack of packaging.

The part was the wrong one. Don't think it was my fault but it could have been. Service was robotic and faded to silence over the first two weeks after contacting. Made several attempts via email (phones were not being answered) and gave up, threw the part away.

Upgrading
While upgrading the fixed table extensions on my Makita 10" sliding miter saw, i decided to replace the blade clearance inserts. I looked up the replacement parts, ordered them and sat back to wait for their arrival. With the Christmas shipping rush I didn't expect quick delivery but to my surprise they were delivered before Christmas. Only one problem quickly became evident.......the were the wrong parts. I haven't had time to follow up on this error and due to all our holiday commitments I was unable to start corrective action. I also forgot to get to it. I don't know where the error ocurred but I will investigate shortly.

Torsion spring broke while saw was in use.

1 remove metric allen set screw and drive main pin out of upper arm.
2 remove screw holding blade cover activating arm.
3 raise saw blade to full extent and set new spring in position.
4 drive main pin back into position and replace set screw.
5 replace screw holding blade cover activating arm.

3 raise saw blade to full extent and set new spring in position.
