    Perfect except
Found that part was not pre-tapped. Customers would need to clean all bolts/screws to remove buildup and use a 3/8-16 tap and die for best results. I have to assume new bolts/screws are self tapping but this could cause stripping if not careful using the old ones. P.S. on reason for purchase you need to add broken, damaged and missing to the list. I am just glad you guys have these parts for all us home grease monkey honey doers.

Part is exact replacement for my riding lawn tractor
I found that the bolts that were used for the original jackshaft were of a type that would cut its own threads, hence all but one broke off, no problem, since I did not have any bolts of that type, other than the one that did not break, I just threaded to a standard bolt and snugged it down (soft metal for jackshaft) , put a lock and nut on the end and snugged down again. Just a note here to let the purchaser know you need to get the original bolts also. Good product am happy with it.

I removed jack shaft and the housing with socket wrenches and open end wrenches. Cleaned up the deck where the new parts would be installed. I had to tap the four holes in the new jack shaft housing,, because the four holes were not tapped. after tapping these four holes I mounted the housing on deck, and,, secured it with the four bolts from the previous installation. I slipped in the new jack shaft and mounted the drive pulley. I did grease up the new assembly as well.

Pliers, Socket set, Wrench Set, Adjustable Wrench, Had to use a pneumatic impact wrench to remove the spindles

Removed the mower deck from mower. The mandrel spindles simply unfolded from deck with help of impact wrench. Replaced in that order. Replaced pulleys. Be careful not to lose the spacer bushing for the idler pulley! The new mandrel spindle bolt holes were not threaded. But the weight that came out of them were tapered fine threaded bolts that will simply thread themselves into the aluminum mandrel spindles. I highly recommend going to a special you faster shop to replace all the bolts that go into the mandrel spindles. It was worth the extra $12!

I used my 2 ton engine lift to raise the lawn tractor mower front end high enough to do the repair job easily. 3 of 5 screws attaching jack-shaft to housing broke. Could not remove the spacer from old main shaft to replace with new shaft. Hardware store for new screws, I had metal tubing on hand to make a new spacer. This old machine is working again.

Thanks, for having all the parts I needed.
