    Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set, Wrench Set, Nutdriver, Carb cleaner, towels, flashlight

    Subaru, small two cycle engine Carburetor repair.
    Remove gas line from carburetor and drain fuel tank
    Remove carburetor linkage from carburetor
    Remove air filter housing
    When you remove the two interior bolts from the air filter the carburetor will also be loose
    Remove air cleaner and carburetor
    Dissemble Carburetor and spray parts with carburetor cleaner
    Don't try to do a full soak in carb cleaner the carb is simple it just needs a flush
    check all passages, use new gaskets, rope packing for the bowl and replace jets

    Leaking fuel bowl gasket.

    1. Remove leaking gas bowl and air cleaner.
    2. Clean all gasket residue from parts and engine
    3. Placed a thin coat of gasket sealer on the engine side
    4. Replace parts and tighten fasteners.

    1.Cleaned off old gaskets.
    2. Made new gasket (the one you sent was wrong, already had that one, the one I needed was the one for the intake side of carb. not the output side. The parts diagrams were not very clear.)
    3. Installed the carb. and air cleaner with new foam filter.
    4. Connected the fuel lines.
    5. Engine started on the first pull.

    1. Removed air cleaner.
    2. Disengaged linkage and removed carburetor.
    3. Removed bottom bowl of carburetor.
    4. Removed float, changed pin and replaced float.
    5. Replaced bowl gaskets and reinstalled bowl.
    6. Replaced gaskets and reinstalled carburetor and air cleaner.

    1. Remove the air filter cover and the filter.
    2. Remove two 10mm nuts from the inside.
    3. Replaced the gaskets.
    4. Reassembled and tested.

    Defective gaskets and air filter

    Removed air cleaner box and removed carb. Replaced gasket on each side of carb and then reinstalled. Replaced air filter element with new one after soaking it in oil.

    Fuel leak at and around carburetor bowl

    Removed carburetor, removed bowl. Cleaned gasket surface and bowl. Smoothed surfaces. Replaced gasket, o-ring, washer and spring. Leak fixed.
