Description:
This replacement ignition module is a genuine OEM sourced item that is specially designed for use with Ryobi string trimmers and brush cutters. The ignition module also known as armature-magneto provides pulses of high voltage for the spark plugs. This assembly includes the ignition module with a lead wire and a rubber spark plug boot. To complete this repair you would need screwdriver set.

Have to remove clutch drum and clutch to remove the front
cover to access the coil. I followed the clutch removal tutorial on
You tube from ereplacement. Very useful.

Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set
Rubber boot missing from ignition coil
Remove the starter housing. Remove the screws hold the ignition module and remove it. Place the new ignition module in place and start threading the screws but not tight. You have gap the module and the flywheel. Turn the flywheel until the magnets on it are lined up with the module. Place a business card between the module and the flywheel magnets, then push the module up to the card and tighten screws. And remove the card. Place the boot on the spark plug Then replace the housing.
