The most common reason for replacing the ignition module is when the engine won’t start or is hard to start. This part is sold individually. Factory backorders occur when the manufacturer has run out of stock on the part and has to produce more at the factory, usually once they receive a certain number of orders for a particular part. Parts Used
Replacing and adjusting the module was easy. Getting down to it and then reassembling the trimmer power head was the difficult part, they don't make it easy.
I have a 25+ yr Echo trimmer that I did the same job on a while back and it took much less time. The old Echo is much more open and can easily be adjusted w/ a screw driver but I see the new ones look just like the Husqvarna I just did - too bad. tough on DIY'ers.
