This part is an OEM from Amana, Speed Queen, Maytag, Crosley and Magic Chef for use with Dryers. The idler pulley maintains correct tension on the drive belt to spin the drum. This two-inch-wide idler pulley wheel is black in color and is made of plastic. The most common reasons for replacing the idler pulley are when the pulley makes noise or the drum will not turn. This pulley wheel comes with its own metallic bearing in its center. Be sure to shut off power to the dryer before beginning this repair. The tools that you will need to replace the idler pulley is a 5/16 inch nut driver and snap ring pliers.
