This is an original part from Craftsman for use with Lawn Mowers, Engines and Lawn Tractors. The blade idler pulley applies tension to the blade belt, allowing the belt to turn. The most common reason for replacing the idler pulley is when it breaks, causing the blades to not cut. This part is sold individually. The tool that you will need to replace the idler pulley is a 9/16 inch socket.
