Placed foam filter into new housing. Realized the filter was larger than the housing was designed for. Put on cover, and it held the foam filter snugly, so I feel the carburetor is safe from in taking dirt or dust.
I took off the throttle cable from the carb.
I removed the top shroud.
I removed the broken adaptor, cleaned the contact points.
I reused the intake o-ring on the adaptor and mounted the carb to the adaptor.
I installed the carb and adaptor assembly back on the engine and hooked up the throttle cable.
I installed the air breather back housing to the carb and then adjusted the throttle cable. The idle is controlled by the cable adjustment.
I installed the filter and breather cover, then tested it for power and idle.
