Install new mandrel assemblies with 4 new screws for each of the three mandrels. you cannot (I have not ever been able to) remove old mandrels without breaking at least 1 of the screws if not all. they are impossible to drill out so I went with new mandrel assemblies and new pulleys. Take care tighten the mandrel screws fully while not over tightening them. They thread into the mandrel and can easily be broken. (refer back to comment about broken screws being impossible to drill out.)
Remove left and right guards and deflector shield.
Now is a great time to replace blades and pulleys. If you didn't order new pulleys and blades, then remove them from the old deck and install on new mandrels. Carefully align blades and seat in star pattern and take care to ensure pulleys engage the teeth on top side tighten blade and pulleys.
Remove idler pulley idler arm, tension relief rod group as one assembly from old deck (left side)by removing the screw and nut and install on new deck.
Remove stationary idler pulley (right side) and install on new deck.
Remove left right and center baffles underside and install on new deck.
Install left and right guards and deflector shield on new deck.
Remove gauge wheels from old deck by removing spring retainer and pin noting the setting or height the gauge wheels are set and install on new deck.
Install belt on deck, drag deck back under tractor.
Install front suspension by aligning pin holes and install flange pins, then insert retainer spring on each side.
Push rear suspension pins into left and right suspension arms.
Install belt on pulleys and secure tensioner rod into latch. verify deck level front to back and side to side.
Ensure no tools or debris is under the deck, start tractor and engage mower blades listen for unusual noise and feel for vibration that might indicate blades out of balance or loose mandrel shut off immediately if noise or vibration is felt. check over work.
Replace mower housing and bearing unit on mower deck.
