2. Removed bolts on gear sector plate.
3. Removed tie rods from gear sector plate
4. Removed bolts from bushing
5. Removed steering shaft
6. Installed steering shaft
7. Installed bushing, and gear and Gear sector plate and retainer spring
8. Replaced new bolts and washers
9. Installed new washer and nut
10. Replaced steering cap, completed job

the steering plate had teeth missing so had to replace it

2. loosened the mounting panel the steering plate was attached to and lowered it as much as possible to get access to the connecting nuts/bolts
3. removed the old steering plate and installed the new one
4. adjusted the steering wheel/plate to insure the steer wheel is straight when the wheels are straight.
5. tighten the mounting panel to the tractor frame.
6. put the mower deck back on.

Remove hood
Remove battery and tray
Remove steering wheel and shaft
Remove steering bushings.
Install everything back in reverse order.

Cleaned dust and debris out of the frame
Took a picture of the assembly for reassembly reference if needed
Removed the steering gear cover plate
Removed the rear steering connecting arms from the steering plate
Removed the steering gear plate
Removed the steering wheel and steering shaft
Removed the idler pulley and belt guards from the clutch housing and replaced it. Had to disconnect the belt tension spring from the idler pulley plate to ease assembly of the pulley to the plate.
Replaced the belt tension spring, 2 man job
Replaced trans belt from front to rear and reattached the belt guards
Attached steering shaft to cover plate and inserted the shaft into place from the bottom
Secured plate screws and installed steering wheel
